Wilderness Ruckomechi is located on a large private concession in the heart of the Lower Zambezi Valley’s Mana Pools National Park, one of Zimbabwe’s most productive game-viewing regions, with expansive views across the mighty Zambezi River and Zambia’s evocative escarpment. A UNESCO World Heritage Site known for the purity of its wilderness, Mana Pools is one of the most remote and least developed safari parks in Zimbabwe, and is renowned for exceptional walking and canoeing safaris. Here, the camp overlooks a favoured elephant crossing, so guests can look forward to seeing many of these iconic African animals near the river and close to camp, as they come in to feed from the nutritious albida trees that shade the camp.

Sublimely spacious tented suites are thoughtfully positioned along the iconic Zambezi’s banks, each offering unimpeded views across the river to the stunning Rift Valley Escarpment on the Zambian side.
From the well-appointed lounge area inside, to the expansive deck outside, each suite has been mindfully furnished in rich natural textures and lovely local décor pieces.
Connected to the main area by low wooden walkways – to allow free passage of the wildlife – the tented suites provide front row seats to an endlessly entertaining wildlife parade.
The two stylish and generous tented family rooms, nestled on low wooden decks, provide a veranda boasting expansive vistas of the Zambezi River. With the same comforts as the standard tents, each room features two en-suite bedrooms, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay for families.
